Broadway Fantasies 2004

Lee Baris -- Producer and Director

A Note From Lee

One day I was giving a friend of mine a rundown of this year's Broadway Fantasies show, and I told him how much work was needed to produce it. When I finished, he hesitated a moment and exclaimed, "Sounds great, but at your age, why do you take on such a responsibility?"

At My Age!!! Well, I thought I better not let this one slip by. After all, he was (is) my best friend. So here goes -- Weeks of preparation and development; Many more weeks of meetings and rehearsals; Progress, Setbacks, and Occasional Mayhem; Opening Night: The curtain opens, music and lights go up, chorus and dance numbers begin, and all becomes right in the world. There is absolutely no feeling like the feeling of opening night when you helped create this wonderful spectacle, and everything is working just as you envisioneed!

After the initial excitement wears off you suddenly realize "It is all those wonderful people on stage!" and even more, those people behind stage that really make this show work, and you are just one little piece of the pie. But what a sweet pie it is!

I want to personally thank each and every person for their time, hard work, and dedication towards making my evening a night to remember.

Thank You For the Music,

Lee Baris
